About Holly

So you’ve clicked on the link-you want to know more!

I'm Holly Norris, your rambling, ridiculous, sometimes gorgeous (and egotistical) author. I'm a Freshman at the University of North Texas (GO MEAN GREEN), majoring in Strategic Communications (PR) and minoring in Marketing and Renaissance History.

I've had a very strong pull towards Brit Lit since I was little - my father graduated with a degree in English after spending a year at Cambridge in England. I didn't like reading until the 6th grade when I read a book for school called The Princess Academy. Shortly after that, I read the first Harry Potter and the rest is history!

The majority of my time in high school was spent in an amazing organization called DECA, which I recommend any student should join. DECA is the reason I am who I am today, and without it I'd probably have ended up in a ditch somewhere. Not really, but you get the picture.

April and May, I live my weekends at Scarborough Renaissance Festival. The Renaissance has always been one of my favorite topics, and now I'm lucky to be part of the Scarborough Celtic Troupe, the #1 Renaissance Lane Act in the country! They’re now some of my best friends, and I'll be returning in the 2014 season as Sophia MacDuff, Lady of Kinross.

I’m a lover of vintage, an advocate of human rights, and a nerd forever and always. You can find my personal blog here
